To experience peace of mind and live a simpler, more fulfilling life you don’t need to Bug Out, or go completely off the grid, or live in a commune, or lose yourself in a deep dark forest. If you step into the Virtual Village, you can work on deconstructing your life one step at a time. In the Village it is OK to put down the smart phone and you won’t have to respond to text messages immediately. You can turn of the gaming console, check your e-mails only once a day…. stop watching reality shows on TV….. You will be able to phone your friends and talk to them directly. You could invite your family over to spend time together around the dinner table. You can take the time to talk to your elders about their lives and learn old skills that are all but forgotten. You can even seek out local veterans and ask them to talk about their war, so that you can learn from their experiences. You will have lots of time to work on a puzzle, read a book, write a letter and keep a journal. Most importantly, you will have time to think about the earth, the environment and our fragile ecosystems – about taking only what we need from the land and learning to give back.
Move in whenever you are ready. Once you are settled we will invite you to share your good ideas with other people in the Village.
Virtual Village is sponsored by the New Beginnings Benevolent Society
